Feel inspired by humankind with this Moon Landing Backpack. The bottom features a photo of Edwin (Buzz) Aldrin walking on the lunar surface during the Apollo 11 moon landing mission in 1969; Neil Armstrong, who took the photograph, can be seen reflected in Aldrin’s helmet visor. The top quotes the lunar plaque that was left on the moon by Apollo 11: “HERE MEN FROM THE PLANET EARTH FIRST SET FOOT UPON THE MOON JULY 1969, A.D. WE CAME IN PEACE FOR ALL MANKIND”

For even more geekery, read on about how the Futura font used on that lunar plaque made its way to the moon as part of NASA’s design image (Magenta). (And yes, of course we used this font on the backpack!)

This moon landing astronaut tote bag is an ode to space lovers! One side features a photo of Edwin (Buzz) Aldrin walking on the lunar surface during the Apollo 11 moon landing mission in 1969. Neil Armstrong, who took the photograph, can be seen reflected in Aldrin’s helmet visor. This moon landing astronaut fanny pack is the ultimate geek-out for space lovers! The front depicts Edwin (Buzz) Aldrin Jr. walking on the moon during the Apollo 11 mission in 1969. Neil Armstrong, who took the photograph, can be seen reflected in Aldrin’s helmet visor. The fanny pack’s top features a NASA photo of a large lunar rock that was collected from Apollo 14 in 1971. The back of the fanny pack shows some footprints on the moon’s surface, and the inside pocket features the iconic photo of Buzz Aldrin with the US flag on the moon.
